Our client, a industry leader in their sector, is now recruiting for a Financial Director to join their growing business.

 

The role in brief (full job spec available on request):

 

  • Oversee the day to day group finance function to include -
                Provision of monthly management information                        

Purchase Ledger

Credit Control

VAT/PAYE/Corporation Tax

Payroll

Provision of appropriate KPIs

 

  • Prioritizing and managing of a varied workload within a fast- paced industry
  • Motivate and lead a team within the accounts department
  • Ensuring the timely preparation and analysis of monthly management accounts across all group companies
  • Controlling the year end audit and managing the flow of information to the financial institutions and banks, including keeping within covenants
  • Forecasts and budget – Involved in information gathering and preparation of the financial forecasts and budgets
  • Monitoring, analyzing and discussing the financial output of each department with the respective manager
  • Presenting financial information to the Board of Directors and being responsible for the timeliness and accuracy of same
  • Liaising with all financial Institutions, banks and government institutions e.g. Invest NI
  • Involvement in legal and company secretarial functions
  • Liaising with various Insurance establishments and ensuring appropriate cover is in place

The ideal candidate:

  • Fully qualified Accountant – Recognised Accountancy Body – ACA, ACCA, CIMA with at least 5+ years post qualification experience.
  • At least 3+ Years in a FD role in a fast paced commercial environment
  • Sound financial knowledge with excellent business and commercial acumen
  • Excellent oral and written communication combined
  • Strong people management skills with a proven track record of building a successful and impactful finance team, a team player and a team builder
  • A clear contributor at Board level with proven presentation skills
  • Focused on continual improvement across the organisation supported by strong financial input and appropriate KPIs
  • Familiar with Accountancy packages and general IT systems
  • Positive attitude, proven leadership skills
  • The ability to be in the detail but also to take a more strategic view
