Our client is one of the top companies in Northern Ireland and one with a global footprint and reach. Due to ongoing continuous improvement in systems and workflows I am interested in meeting (virtually or maybe even face to face!) with Commercial / Supply Chain professionals.

I want to share the vision with you and outline the opportunities (there are several) that exist across S&OP, Demand & Planning and related functions.

Demand & Planning Professionals (Managerial and at a more tactical analytical level)

The role in brief (full specification available on request):

As Demand Planning & Scheduling Manager you will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Harnessing the organization’s knowledge to produce sales forecasts used in S&OP and the future strategy
  • Managing the manufacturing schedules
  • Working cross functionally to ensure that Customer expectations are fulfilled on-time and in-full
  • Drive the Planning strategy within the overall S&OP process, contributing effectively to the S&OP process
  • Collaborate closely with Procurement and Manufacturing teams to improve operational effectiveness and results
  • Identify process improvement to maximise productivity
  • Prepare background information to support sales forecasting & develop statistical forecasts

Candidate Requirements:

  • Previous experience managing a Planning function in a large manufacturer, you will not only know what good looks like, you will understand the resilience and leadership that is required
  • Proven experience in delivering business solutions / Lean Six Sigma / Continuous Improvement.
  • Strong analytical, organisational, decision making and presentation skills.
  • Solid understanding of inventory management practices and procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with all teams, areas and levels of business affecting the forecast process.
  • Capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • MRP/ERP experience with strong process thinking.
  • APICS or other Supply Chain Certification preferred.
  • Hold a degree or equivalent qualification in a related discipline.
  • Manage a team of Demand, Production & Pack Planners
