Our client is a global medical device manufacturer who work primarily with some of the world's leading healthcare providers. As a result of continued growth, we are looking for an experienced and passionate Chemical Engineer to join their team based in the NW.

Chemical Engineer

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate and driven to join a growing company in a leadership position where they will play an important role in the growth of the business.

As our key chemical engineer, you'll be involved in the design and development of processes and products. Your work will focus on the manufacture of medical grade products to be used in healthcare facilities around the world.

The successful candidate will be required to quickly gain an in-depth product knowledge and to develop suitable manufacturing processes. You will develop an understanding of the different raw materials and their purpose for each of our products, you will also monitor the manufacturing process and adjust to ensure goods are manufactured to the appropriate medical standards.

The ideal candidate:

  • Applied knowledge of Analytical Chemistry techniques
  • Experience gained in a chemical manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated ability to solve highly technical problems
  • Strong technical writing ability
  • Familiarity with process improvement methodologies (Six Sigma, lean manufacturing)
  • Ability to execute tasks with minimal oversight

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or a related field
  • Master’s degree in chemical engineering or a related field desirable
  • Experience working in a chemical engineering or industrial chemistry capacity
  • Experience in a production or manufacturing environment
