Job Brief


Reporting to the Head of Manufacturing you will take full responsibility for the development of a robust HR function. Passionate about people and teams you will be highly involved in both strategic and operational HR matters.




·         Develop a HR strategy plan for the business that will enable business growth
·         Support the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems
·         Provide counselling on policies and procedures 
·         Be actively involved in recruitment by preparing job descriptions, posting ads and managing the hiring process
·         Create and implement effective onboarding plans
·         Develop training and development programs
·         Assist in performance management processes
·         Support the management of disciplinary and grievance issues
·         Develop appropriate employee engagement initiatives to aid talent attraction and retention
·         Advise on appropriate succession planning and reward and recognition strategies
·         Maintain employee records (attendance, EEO data etc.) according to policy and legal requirements
·         Ensure the business is audit ready for ethical audits at all times
·         Review employment and working conditions to ensure legal compliance
·         Support managers on people related matters


Ideal Candidate should have:


·         Proven experience HR Experience
·         Knowledge of HR functions (pay & benefits, recruitment, training & development etc.)
·         Understanding of labor laws and disciplinary procedures
·         Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of HRMS is a plus
·         Outstanding organizational and time-management abilities
·         Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
·         Problem-solving and decision-making aptitude
·         Strong ethics and reliability
·         A CIPD qualification 
·         Previous knowledge of Health & Safety in the work place would be advantageous.
